Android Tablet (elocity) and books!?

I've been having such a hard time getting apps for it since there are not to manny apps I can download. Ive been trying to get books (as in BUY books from like amazon or so) for it, but I cannot find out how! I cannot get the kinddle app.. or can I? someone knows how or what can I do? Thanks!!!
